The Royal Wedding that is! I am still obsessed! I can't help it. I did not make it to the first kiss, in fact, I'm not sure how they made it so long before the first kiss! More power to them though!
I found out that I can still host a good ole fashioned party...corn-free even! For dinner, I made cucumber sandwiches and artichokes. Yes, I know artichokes aren't very British, but I was really craving for them, and they are super good, so who am I to deny myself this wonderful treat?!?!? I also made a royal wedding cake. It was marble with white frosting, all corn free :) I have yet to try it though. Ha, maybe I will have some for breakfast..haha.
Since having this allergy, I have found out that people are always looking out for you. I can say I am craving something, and immediately I have a support group of people telling me "NO". It's very helpful, because sometimes I forget just how much pain I was in and am willing to risk it for something super yummy that I miss! You know, like those super yummy pretzel nuggets from Auntie Anne's.... I have a recipe, I bet I can make it corn-free.... Also, people are always asking before they give me something if I am allergic to it, which makes me stop and think twice about whether not I am, as opposed to just popping it in my mouth and seeing! Restaurants want to be accommodating, friends don't want you to die, you know people are just always looking out!
